Best $10.99 I ever spent
Parents the world over know and thank Dr. Harvey Karp for his "Five S's" for soothing babies. The first "S" is for "Swaddling" which means wrapping your baby up to keep her from flailing her arms and startling herself. In his video, Dr. Karp illustrates the way to fold a baby blanket around a baby in a three-step process to keep her arms locked at her side. We tried to recreate the swaddling technique with limited success. Somehow, Claire usually managed to escape the swaddle like Harry Houdini and then she'd proceed to go nuts. Then I saw "it" at Buy Buy Baby. "It" is the SwaddleMe Adjustable Infant Wrap but I call it the Baby Straight Jacket and it works like a charm. The Wrap/Straight Jacket looks like it could qualify as child abuse but apparently, this product has won awards from parents and doctors so as far as I'm concerned, it's okay.
